July Identity Crisis

Every year around this time I find myself getting annoyed (and at the same time excited) when stores and magazines start showing the first signs of fall. I know, it’s buy now wear now for summer and shop now and wear later for fall. I get it. It’s just a little depressing how we are always living for tomorrow and not enjoying what we have today. Yes, you can still enjoy what you have today but “they” (and by “they” I am referring to magazines and stores) make it really hard. You would think I’d be used to it by now considering I am a former designer and my brain was programed to work that way. But to tell you the truth, it actually gives me a little anxiety. Some good anxiety in the sense that I am excited and anxious to see what’s coming in for fall. And some bad anxiety in the sense that I need to start thinking about fall when I am still thinking about summer. So I guess that I just need accept that part of me is still in summer mode (naturally considering it is early July) and the other part of me is starting to enter fall mode (not so natural one would think considering it’s early July). Hence, my July Identity Crisis.

I am pretty sure I am not alone in my July Identity Crisis…I think. So I thought I would be fun to show a bunch of cute things that I am coveting at this very second. Some fall, some summer. Enjoy!
